LPA – Retrofit in Ireland Spa Distribution Centre, Refrigeration Energy Savings 38%

LPA® retrofit completion. Condensing pressure were previously held artificially high at 16 bar (232psi) to maintain the cooling and provide for hot gas defrosting on demand. Now with LPA® installed, the pressures have been reduced to 9 bar improving the systems efficiency by 38% annually.

LPA – Retrofit in Ireland Spa Distribution Centre, before evaporative condensers were steaming excessively

Previously the evaporative condensers operated at much higher temperatures as seen by the amount of drift loss or water evaporation taking place. Now with Liquid Injection installed water loss has been reduced to zero and the build up of scale in the condensers eliminated. Discharge temperatures were reduced by 50°C (100F) sufficiently low enough to prevent scale formation, maintaining peak efficiencies and substantial water savings.
