    We have a small server room with an estimated continuous heat output of 15 kW which is currently being served by a Mitsubishi wall mounted unit which has a COP of 3.25. Our server room temperature fluctuates between 22 and 24 degrees C. What would be the maximum outdoor temperature your equipment can provide free cooling in our circumstance?

    Good question. As a general rule, for effective heat transfer, outdoor temperatures would be 6°C cooler than the desired indoor room temperature. In answer to your question, compressors can be turned off when outdoor temperatures are in the region of 16° to 18°C or less.
