New Compressor Cylinder Head & Screw Cooling Technology

Liquid Injection yes, but with an added purpose; Over the past few years HY-SAVE® R&D has been extensively testing a new concept which keeps compressors cool, especially in the tropics and the Far East . A small amount of liquid refrigerant is injected into the HP port of the compressor that provides massive de-superheating of discharge vapors sufficiently enough to cool the entire compressor . Scroll, Reciprocating or Screw compressors have provisions for Liquid Injection which can be thermostatically controlled to prevent cylinder temperatures from falling too far. 120F (60°C) or more . As a result compressor screw, shell and oil temperatures are substantially reduced . Oil coolers and economizers can be removed from the refrigeration system further improving efficiency . The company is delighted with their reports and testing which as been overwhelming so has filed further patents and applications covering this innovative process worldwide .
