DX Cascade Medium Low Temperature Co2 Circuit

A NH3 cascade style first stage condenser and liquid receiver application provides efficient operation for medium and low temperature refrigeration circuits for HFC or Co2 blends. Refrigerant delivered to both medium and low temperature evaporators use a combination of DX Free Cooling and low stage vapor compression to maintain desired temperatures.

    Hello,

Can you advise best way to control flow to the evaporators or does the liquid pump provide variable volume flow?

    Hello Darren,
LPA pumps prefer EEV or other liquid metering control rather than VFD. All LPA pumps are self unloading, which means; if the expansion valve is starting to close so will the mass flow of the refrigerant reduce as with HP absorbed by the motor.
