Previously at the Spa Distribution Centre in Northern Ireland the evaporative condensers operated at much higher temperatures as seen by the amount of drift loss or water evaporation taking place. Now with Liquid Injection installed water loss has been reduced to zero and the build up of scale in the condensers eliminated. Discharge temperatures were reduced by 50°C (100F) sufficiently low enough to prevent scale formation, maintaining peak efficiency.
